The Guest of a Wedding in Cape Cod
For those of you who follow me on Instagram and Facebook, you may have noticed I took a trip to Massachusetts. I was invited as a plus one to a wedding by my best friend Rodney. Rodney is meteorologist at CBS46 and we met while I was working there. When he invited me I was so excited because I love weddings and I have never been to Massachusetts before.
The wedding was in Cape Cod on West Dennis beach and it was absolutely gorgeous.
We got to Cape Cod on Friday for the welcome/rehearsal dinner. Appetizers were passed around and the waiters were not being stingy. It was basically all you could eat. The appetizers included duck empanadas, spinach dip in tortilla scoops, and sesame chicken bites. Lets just say I was full by the time dinner was served. For dinner guest could choose between steak and lobster. I had to eat steak because I am allergic to seafood. After dinner we danced the night away. "I Payed for the DJ so you better get up and dance,"Said the groom's mother while everyone was just sitting around.

Me and Rodney

(At the rehearsal dinner I wore a black jumpsuit that I purchased from Macy's in High school)
On Saturday morning Rodney and I got up and ate breakfast at our resort. We stayed at the Blue Water resort and our breakfast was pretty good. I ordered biscuits with gravy, two patty sausages hash browns and scrambled egg whites. We then decided to explore a little bit. We ended up in Brewster, Massachusetts at the Lemon Tree Village. The Village is full of specialty shops. Our First stop was the Brewster's Sweets shop and we purchased some homemade chocolates(absolutely delicious). Later I found a boutique specializing in women's clothing and purchased a cashmere poncho because I knew the temperature was going to drop at the wedding.
The wedding ceremony was beautiful. The bride was Indian and the groom was Greek. I am glad I got the chance to witness an Indian ceremony with Greek traditions incorporated.
At the the reception Indian and Greek food was served and I tried everything. The food was delicious.

The night ended beautifully. LOL the DJ had to tell everyone to go home.
